Aquaculture is emerging as a strategic activity to meet the growing global food demand. Overpopulation, environmental degradation, and resource depletion drive this need. Aquaculture delivers productive efficiency, maintains a low environmental footprint, and provides nutritional benefits, making it a sustainable alternative as fisheries decline. Producers cultivate more than 500 species in diverse ecosystems and generate products of high biological value. By contributing to food security and responsibly using marine resources, aquaculture plays a key role in meeting the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Organic farming is a sustainable system that prohibits the use of synthetic inputs and prioritizes practices such as crop rotation to preserve soil health. Its preventive approach reduces water pollution, improves air quality, and strengthens biodiversity. In addition, it optimizes ecosystem services through techniques that enrich the soil and reduce the environmental footprint. Excluding genetically modified organisms ensures more natural products and more resilient agricultural systems.
